Hey hey!
I’m very pleased to publish my first pick at HeavyBetting. To the people who haven’t looked at the Facebook-page yet; I’m Bruce, 26 years old, native Floridian but living in London for the next two years. Soccer is my big passion, played myself for a couple of years in college but never really got close enough to make it to the big leagues. I still have a wide network within American soccer and will try to capitalize on that, but South American and European leagues are also of great interest for me.
I hope I’ll bring you some profit with my tips. I’m kind of an underdog-guy who tries to catch the bookies on the wrong foot at some high prices, but I guess you’ll see a little bit of everything from me.
Good luck – you can write me at Bruce.bettis86@gmail.com if you got any questions.
FIRST PICK
I like the Charlotte Independence tonight in New England in the US Open Cup.
The hosts have a really important fixture against DC United three days after tonights game, and coach Jay Heaps are going to ring the changes in the squad, meaning that fringe players like Donnie Smith, Steve Neumann and Haitian youngster Zach Herivaux will get the nod in a pretty inexperienced starting lineup.
The Revolution have never kept a clean sheet in nine US Open-outings with opponents such as Rochester Rhinos, Richmond Kickers and City Islanders.
Charlotte is a pretty solid USL-League team with vast experienced players from MLS such as Ryan Finley, former Real Salt Lake-pair Enzo Martinez and Ryan Finley, Marlon Hairston played almost a 1.000 minutes for Colorado Rapids in the MLS last season together with Carlos Alvarez who also got ten games for the Rapids.
Several of the MLS-teams got troubled last night with Chicago Fire and San Jose Earthquakes both needing extra time to proceed, and 1,25-favorites Kansas City only edged St. Louis 1-0.
I see Charlotte causing the inexperienced New England-team trouble tonight. The strength of the guests is clearly on the opponents half, so I figure that New England will have to score at least three times tonight to beat the guests by more than one goal.
